Do I need council approval to remove a tree?
In a lot of Sydney council areas, yes — it depends on the species, the height and how close it is to the house. Some councils have exempt-species lists, and bushfire areas have the 10/50 rule. We'll tell you honestly whether yours needs an application and help you lodge it. If a tree is an immediate danger, that's handled differently.
How much does tree removal cost in Sydney?
See the price guide above for realistic ranges. The three things that move the number most are height, access (can a truck and chipper get in, or is everything carried out by hand), and what's underneath — a tree over a pool or a roof needs rigging and time that an open paddock drop doesn't.
Are you insured?
Yes — full public liability and workers compensation. We'll send certificates through before we start, and we'd encourage you to ask anyone quoting you for the same. An uninsured crew damaging your property becomes your problem, not theirs.
Do you take the mess away?
Yes. Chip, branches and logs all go, the lawn gets raked and hard surfaces get blown down. If you want to keep the mulch or firewood, say so and we'll leave it stacked.
Can you get to a tree with no access?
Usually. Tight side access, steep blocks and backyards with no gate are normal for us — that's what the rigging is for. It affects the price because it takes longer, and we'll explain exactly why when we quote.
How fast can you come out for storm damage?
